Open again?

Open again?

How are you all managing? It’s been a whirlwind few weeks, hasn’t it? Everything changed for many people and everything stayed the same for others (but with less traffic).
I know how lucky I am to be able to work from home and that I’m used to having my children around, so the main change for me was not seeing other people, as Zoom meetings really don’t count. So I’m pleased that our small businesses are now able to re-open. I’m sure that their customers will now come back to support them, everyone taking care to keep a safe distance of course.

For those who are not online, I’ve had a look to see who’s advertising that they’re open now, or who will be open by the time you read this.

One of the independent companies you have seen me feature before, Sarah’s Flowers, is back at work in the shop on Market Street, so give her a call on 01945 587986 for all your flowery needs.

Loafers on Market Place are open again, an independent coffee shop that is ready to welcome you back for their full range of meals and drinks. In the Horsefair, Greggs are open for takeaway, so if you have been missing their vegan sausage rolls, now is the time to go and stock up!

Further afield, The Secret Garden touring park is able to open again, with all that lovely space for social distancing and they are taking bookings now on 01945 585044. They will be having special evenings (sadly, not the sausage tasting – but the sausages will still be available to buy in the shop!)

The shop will also be well stocked with all the other local goodies they usually have, I think that will include their neighbours, Fen Spirits – the guys who worked so hard to make sure everyone who needed hand sanitizer, had some, so now is the time to thank them and get yourself some treats!

Meanwhile I’ll get back to the Virtual Arts Trail – thankyou so much to the lovely artists and makers sending in their creations, it is good to see so many people being creative and feeling proud of their work. Have a look at WisbechArtSpace.com for more details.
