Heritage Open Days
“Every September some 40,000 volunteers across England organise 5,000 events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.”
Look out for the paper map of local places open for Heritage Open Days (HODs), produced with the Wisbech Society, available across town now!
Here’s the front and back of the printed map so you can check it online (The back is set to be folded, hence one section upside down!)
Visit heritageopendays.org.uk, search for Wisbech or type in your postcode and see what’s nearest to you!
There are other places that are also opening especially for this month, or putting on an event. Not all have registered online, we’re sure there will be some who are open but didn’t get on the map in time, so do keep an eye out on social media and their own websites for more details!
